PAS Lucky 13 Winter 13 Week 8 round up

Some Kind Of Wonderful”: Rob C was tweeting his delight (remember to add the #pabpas Bobert!) at Chelsea’s 3rd goal on Sunday as he clocked another correct score on a high scoring week without very many correct scores. Surely five would win it then? He didn’t see the Buxtons coming up on the rails though and whilst Simon B caught him, Jack Buxton 41 (7) stole a lead a kept it! Well done Jack, £20 coming your way – you can pay your dad back now! #therestofusknowJack!
What’s Going On”: Oh joy! The missus had a ‘mare! Michelle Fernandez 11 (1) is missing the the old skool “you read ’em out & i’ll tell you the scores” Saturday morning non-researched routine… #youretheSp*rsofMCR
Correct Score of the Week:
Hmmmmm, not a lot of us did very well this week… most popular score was Leicester’s 1-2 win over Ipswich Town – 28 of youse got that!
17 got the last minute fest 3-1 at Celtic Park and eight got the 2-2 between the Yam Yams & the Brummies.
5 got the 0-3 in the East End & five more got the St Mirren 0 Hibs 0.
Anders H/Me/Will O got Hull 0 Palace 1 and Clare T/Martin S/Simon B the nil-nil draw featuring Blackburn against Reading.
Ian P got Steveange’s 0-1 win against Peterborough.
However, this week’s best correct score goes to Jason Morris for his the-syndicate-will-*heart*-me-for-this, Dundee Utd 4 Partick Thistle 1.
Bet of the Week:
This week’s 75p trixie went as follows –
Votes: 36 – come on people get involved!!!
Selections: QPR-Charlton 16% /Celtic-Aberdeen 15% /Hull-Palace 14%
Prize Slot: 44th
Returns: £1.15
As the qualifying question didn’t really make any sense I split the bet between “home team winning to nil” & “both teams not to score” – my belief in Palace was justified!
Don’t forget to cast your vote every week but make sure you do it before 10am on Saturday

Table News:

Let’s Get It On“:

Pete Britton stays in top spot, now 15 points ahead of the fast improving Danny A, who in turn is one point in front of Paul H in third.

Rob C, Jamie T & Tony M crash the Top Ten – Jack B is the highest climber…

Too Busy Thinking About My Baby“:

Dan Rayner stays stuck to the bottom but has has another Palace man in Howard T to keep him company – but like Palace, they’re fighting back they now both two points adrift of Reda A who in turn is 2 points behind another Dirty Leeds fellow called  Dave T – Michelle F falls furthest…

PAS Lucky 13 Winter 13 Week 7 round up

Breakfast In Bed”: I was lovin’ the “International/Village team” fixtures this week especially when that 95th minute penalty went in for Bradford on Sunday. I thought I was nailed on to win my first PAS money in a long long time (and make it a lovely weekly win double for the PAS Board!). However, another person with doubles on his mind was our good friend “Tricky of the Syndicate”. Yep, Richard Hirst 36 (6) has Les Bleus to thank for securing him another £20 to add to his Week 2 success! #darlingofthesyndicate
Nothing”: By stark contrast, Dave Crisp, Felix Hines, John Hutchinson & Reda Allam 10(1) can’t wait for the “proper” football to return if only to make sure they’re never involved in such a gruesome four-way ever again… #eeeeeewww!
Correct Score of the Week:
Very quiet week, what ya’ll doing?… most popular score was Swindon’s 1-2 win over Colchester – 19 of us got that!
6 got the 0-0 at the Vale Park and five got the 1-3 between Mansfield & Oxford.
4 got the miracle in Paris
Neil M & Norman L got Greece 3 Romania 1.
Dom W got PNE’s 0 -1 win against L Orient.
However, this week’s best correct score goes to Matt Worsfold for his Kerry-Katona-Is-A-Zero inspired, Iceland 0 Croatia 0.
Bet of the Week:
This week’s 75p trixie went as follows –
Votes: 27 – come on people! get involved!!!
Selections: Ukraine-France 22% /Greece-Romaina 19% /York-Plymouth 10%
Prize Slot: 11th
Returns: £1.88
Not the end of the world only losing £1.12 and we’re building up the prize money very nicely thank you very much!

Week 7 info – please read!

Hola!

It’s a horrible international week and its just got a bit more messy!

Oldham v MK Dons has been postponed so we’ve replaced it with Dagenham & Redbridge v Burton Albion (match 11 on your scoresheet)

If you’ve already submitted a score for the Oldham game, you may want to revisit and amend…especially the following!

Jazz Sian

Danny Ashworth

Neil Osborne

Norman Lee

Ian Pratt

So, the online version has its benefits eh?!

Speaking of which, you will have noticed we’ve included both legs of the World Cup play-offs…

Matches 2 – 5 are the first leg games on Friday night and matches 27-30 are the return 2nd legs.

***Please be aware the 2nd leg match scores are for “after 90 minutes”***

And, because we’re online, you can wait til after Friday night to think about how the 2nd legs will go before submitting your scores – beautiful!

Cheers,

Pab

PAS Lucky 13 Winter 13 Week 6 round up

A Ray of Sunshine”: Ahem, erm<cough>, you now how honest we are at PAS Towers don’t you?! If one of the directors won a weekly prize you’d never think ill of us now, would you? No. Good…
Michelle F was pipped at the post by Dave C until Dan Hogwood 33(5) rigged the back office matrix that *he* designed & surreptitiously changed one of his scores to beat Crispy to this week’s £20… #thelastbitsajoke
If You Were There”:…and whilst he was there, he sabotaged fellow IT whizz Dave N’s score so he would finish last.
However, all-round  Leodensian bloke & discoverer of how not lose money on the Man Utd – Arsenal game, Tom Ashford 7 (0), somehow managed to out manoeuvre the cunning Dan H and scupper his plot! #thisisaloweveninLeeds

PAS Lucky 13 Winter 13 Week 5 round up

Opportunities (Let’s make lots of money)”: “Seven!” No, not Strictly and not even Man City! That’s the sound of Pete Britton & Paul Henshaw 38 (7) reclaiming some football-related respect back for Manchester. Despite Ian P’s valiant last game effort to take the weekly £20, they both held hands to cross the line – a city united…bless. That’s £10 each boys, don’t do anything rash like betting on your respective clubs to win a trophy this season now! #capitalgains
What Have I Done to Deserve This?”: Her nan in Croydon does her scores and her nan in Croydon even managed to do it all online for the first time ever this week (which you have to say is massive kudos to our online developers making it *that* easy!). Rob C (again!) the one-three win for Orient at Peterboro & Pete B got Cardiff City’s historic 1 -0 win over Swansea City.
However, this week’s best correct score goes to Ian Pratt for his Alba-tastic, Aberdeen 4 Partick Thistle 0.
