All 64 places have been snapped up, with James C playing along without any “teams” to help him along! So, with Mr 2-0 playing that’s 66 entrants….omen???!

If you’ve paid up already, thankyou – you’re ace! If you haven’t please make it a priority or you’ll be brushed aside and James can nab your place(s)!

The usual drill –  – please leave your name as reference!

£10 – Dan Rayner, Felix Hines, James Challinor, John Hutchinson, Mark J Brown, Michelle Fernandez, Rich Lee, Rob Currin, Steve Meaton & Steve Tagger

£7.50 – Dave Tagger, Gary Blackburne, Matt Worsfold, Nick Hogwood & Simon Lindquist

£3 – Reda Allam

£1.12 – Simon Lindsay

The draw for allocated teams will take place this weekend – you’ll be able to view it online as it, ahem, happens…who will you get?!

Cheers,

Pab

ps – Belgium are the first completed team in my sticker book – that means they’re gonna win it!

PAS Cup & CL Final latest scores & World Cup update

Hola!

PAS Cup Final – only 4 games to go & despite a gallant effort from Dan P in the “Cup Final Proper” scoresheet, Scott H is the Hull position of having it all to lose…

Dan Pelgrom                  31 (6)      –    46 (11)             Scott Harrison

joker: No. of Arsenal red cards (4pts)               joker: Arsenal 1st scorer (0pts)

PAS CL Final – 4 games to go plus the “CL Final Proper” scoresheet to go, it’s all to play for!

Ben Hogwood 27 (5)  –  30 (5) Gareth Morgan

PAS World Cup

All 64 places have been snapped up (with James C waiting patiently in the wings) but we still have two “Top 32” players yet to confirm their participation (Stephen S & Howard T – are you out there?!). So, if you missed out on a place there’s still hope you may be able to squeeze in. Failing that, you can still play for tenner but you won’t be assisted on your points tally by any goals being scored by a team you’ve drawn (or against a team you’ve been drawn!)

If you’ve paid up already, thankyou – you’re ace! If you haven’t please make it a priority!

The draw for allocated teams will take place on week commencing June 2 – you’ll be able to view it online as it, ahem, happens…

PAS Lucky 13 Spring 14 Final Table round up

Final Table News:

“The Charming Man”: He started with a shocker, climbed to 12th, and then remained in the Top 3 for the rest of the season, topping it for 8 weeks AND reach the PAS CL Semi Finals. You really can say he’s consistent & clearly loves the Spring season as he snatches back the league trophy that’s been missing since December…

Hats off & congrats to Paul Campbell 344 (49) – you’re a winner!

Paul ended on an 11 point lead over Cup finalist Dan Pelgrom in second place, who just couldn’t quite manage the same levels and in turn finished 6 points ahead of Jamie Tofeili in third place who now has two Top Ten finishes in a row.

Just one point behind, Kate Hopper yet again benefited from the “Director of Football” approach & ended up in fourth spot with Jack Buxton scooping 5th place just ahead of his dad Simon Buxton in 6th a further 2 points behind. This family thang is catching on…

Jason Morris finished in seventh 2 points above the well decorated Paul Henshaw (syndicate bragging rights?!) in eighth.

Two points behind, finishing ninth, was a much improved Andy Chesworth, who will no doubt welcome the extra income with Kid A on the way and a further 5 points back Jon Tofeili landed in 10th place (currently being cursed by Simon Linds & Richard H both a mere 5 correct scores behind in the hinterland that is 11th!) netting the last of the “big prizes”. Another happy family!

“David Moyes”: You have to say even our champion couldn’t match the consistency level of Reda Allam 223 (18) who takes the wooden spoon this season with gusto!

Steve T & Rob C made gallant efforts over the last few weeks to rival our basement boy but to no avail – the spoon is yours Reda, coming your way in the post. Shocker!

Spot Prizers: OK, you have finished on these positions and you HAVE won those prizes!

Simon Lindsay & Richard Hirst on 11th, Ben Hogwood on 17th, Scott Harrison on 26th, Savan Arora on 30th, Francesca Fernandez on 33rd, Neil Templeton on 38th, Will Oppong on 43rd, Ian Pratt on 44th, Norman Lee on 47th, Paul Vinson on 51st, Mr 2-0 on 57th, Dave Nicklin on 63rd, Mr 2-0 on 66th &Stuart Fitzsimon on 64th.

*** all prize money will be winging its way over this weekend – promise! ***

PAS Copa Mondial 2014: In order to be invited to enter the PAS World Cup 2014 you had to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Sneaking the last spot…Neil Meredith!

If you’ve finished in the Top 32 you HAVE qualified for the PAS World Cup 2104 – if you so wish!

You can say “no thanks” if you want, but why would you do that eh?!

So, for definite(?!), we’ll see the Top 32 then – at £7.50 entry fee & an allocated team to boost your points tally, who wouldn’t?

The rest of you can join in for a tenner – and you really should as PAS Champions League 2014/15 qualification is up for grabs too!

Check it all out here – http://www.pabspace.co.uk/wcup2014-rules/

Remember, spread the word this is an ideal way to get new recruits into the PAS way & involved for next season!

And Another Thing: the other little bits…

Paul Henshaw picked up an additional £8 for getting the Best Weekly Score of the Season –  47(8)

Reda Allam picked up £7 for getting the Best Correct Score of the Season – WBA 3 Spurs 3.

PAS Champions League 2013/14:

Final: Ben Hogwood v Gareth Morgan – 10th-24th May ‘14

Special mention to Gareth M for reaching a second consecutive final (he was in the PAS Cup Final 2012 too! There’s hope Ben, there’s hope..!) & setting himself up for something Bayern couldn’t manage!

PAS Cup 2014:

Final: Scott Harrison v Dan Pelgrom – 10th-17th May ‘14

Fear not! You will ALL be kept in the loop on the progress & results of both Finals!

Plaudits

Thanks again to all for taking time and bothering to enter, we couldn’t do it without you!

And a final big thank you to Dave N & Dan H for providing all the behind the scenes techky stuff to enable another great season…
Cheers
Pab

PAS Lucky 13 Spring 14 Week 13 round up

“Glad All Over”: You can tell it’s the end of the season – people put down crazy scores, crazy scores come in. Mr 2-0 is oversubscribed as people “forget” or drift off into the spring sunshine. Form goes out the window & “coupon busters” are celebrated by bookies across the country. Oh, and “The Syndicate” make their move. Paul H was looking very likely this week to “earn” but just to make sure, Jason Morris 35 (5) came up on the blindside to make double sure the £20 was secured for the “team”. Congrats fellas, looking forward to the World Cup? #thesting

“Bits & Pieces”: It’s the end of the season, there are crazy scores expected and the sun is out. Why bother doing your scores? Dave Tagger, Sam Arora & Rob Currin 11 (0) are wondering just that…#stung

Correct Score of the Week:

Is it me or are the scores just mental… most popular score was Ipswich’s 2-1 win over Sheff Wed – 20 of youse got that!

Tony B got the 0-0 for The Shakers with The Shrimps & Francesca F got the Swansea 0 Southampton 1.

Howard T got Boro’s 1 – 4 win at Yeovil.

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Pab for my, ahem, impartially selected, Aston Villa 3 Hull City 1 (it was my only chance to get my name in lights Howie! Sorry, but you’re still on you way back from Cloud 9 after Monday’s game anyway..)

PAS Lucky 13 Spring 14 Week 11 round up

“Golden Brown”: Not paying attention may have cost quite a few of us dearly this week. Well it did me. Not only did Swansea & Hearts both score deep into injury time to deny me 2 correct scores, I thought i’d be clever and go “against the grain” with Arsenal & Liverpool this week. The result? Dan Hogwood 30 (5) swept past me & four others to claim this week’s £20 in the tightest weekly finish I can remember for many a year. A missed prediction on Sunday clinched it too…David Moyes really did serve you well Dan! #youjammygit

“(Get A) Grip (On Yourself)”: Not paying attention is the least of their worries as Richard Lee & Francesca Fernandez 10 (1) really really get it wrong. As wrong as that “Chosen One” banner in fact…#ohdear

Correct Score of the Week:
Some good (individual) form going into the business end… most popular score was Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Fulham – 16 of us got that!

5 got the 1-2 at The Riverside and five more got the 3-1 between Man City & WBA.
4 got the 3-1 in Watford.

Ian P & Neil T got the 0-0 for Charlton with Bolton.

Dan H got Wigan 3-0 Reading and Richard H got the nil-nil draw for Aberdeen against Inverness.

Richard H (again!) got Leicester’s 1-0 victory over QPR.

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Matt Worsfold for his back-on-their-perch, Norwich 2 Liverpool 3!

Bet of the Week: This week’s 75p trixie went as follows –

Votes: 28 – come on people get involved!!!

Selections: Burnley 21% / Derby 19% / Arsenal 14%

Prize Slot: 11th

PAS Lucky 13 Spring 14 Week 9 round up

“My Philosophy”: You’ve got to love Gylfi Siggurdson – from revelation at Reading to sub at Sp*rs, he never gives up and is still a bit partial to a shot on sight. The other week he robbed Rowan M (amongst others) of a 2-2 result v Southampton when he rifled in an injury time goal to earn me a lovely 9 pointer. This week he netted in the 90th minute to give the Lilywhites an emphatic scoreline against Sunderland, robbed Rowan M (again!) and earned me a 10 pointer (along with  ‘appy ‘Ammer Matt W). Sweet! Even sweeter, that 10 points took me to the top of the weekly pile for first time in eons to pocket the £20 weekly prize! So thankyou Y-Word neighbours, 36 (5) will do just nicely…#COYS

“The Bridge Is Over”: A bit like Arsenal, this is not the time of season to put some dreadful performances in. It will cost you. Dear. Simon Lindquist 11 (0) is hoping next week (like Arsenal) will bring better days…#COYG

Correct Score of the Week:

I knew something had to give… most popular score was Inverness Caley’s 1-2 win away at Ross Co – 13 of youse got that!

10 got the 3-0 at The Bridge.

6 got the 1-2 in Birmingham (the Aston bit) & six more got the two – one between Bournemouth & QPR.

Matt W & Felix H got the 4-1 for City over The Saints and Matt W (again!) & moi got the Sp*rs 5 Sunderland 1.

PAS Lucky 13 Week 8 round up

“The Girl Who Wanted to Be God”:It’s a little known fact that Dominic Wyld 38(5) was once a child-star called Jack whose limelight waned in the early 70s after a run in with a dragon on Living Island. An artful dodge? Well sadly no, as he has to now resort to making up audience stats for a broadsheet that prides itself in telling the truth. £20 heading your way Dom, maybe you can reminisce with “H.R Pufnstuf” on DVD… #fantasy

“From Despair to Where”:It’s a little known fact that seven is actually an unlucky number. Especially 7(0). Just ask Paul Henshaw, Pete Britton & Rowan Marriott#reality

Correct Score of the Week:When you’re good, you’re very very good… most popular score was Derby’s 3-0 win over Charlton – 20 of youse got that!

5 got the 1-2 in Leeds.

Dan R/Gary B/Alex R got the 2-2 for Caley with The Buddies.

Paul V & Will O got Man Utd  4-1 Aston Villa and Dom W & Matt W got the three-three draw for WBA against Cardiff (HOW???!!!)

Mark S & Dom W (again!) got Liverpool’s 4 -0 canter v Sp*rs.

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Paul Carter for his load of cobblers, Northampton 0 Bury 3.
