L13 Winter 2012 : Week 12 Not sure why I didn’t do this earlier…

…but Week 12 is cancelled!

Sorry folks, due to my lackadaisical editorial skills on this weeks scoresheet coupled with playing at popstars all week, we’ve created a monster ’’mare that has caused mayhem!

Some people haven’t managed to resubmit so it’s only fair they get to compete on a level playing field.

Next week will now be Week 12 and we’ll have out final flourish over the festive period.

Please be gentle with me, I’m very fragile after last nights end of tour aftershow…

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2012 : Week 12 Update

Please note that as the wrong fixtures are noted for the SPL games on the week 12 scoresheet, and a number of scoresheets have already been submitted all SPL games will be excluded this week.

The Montrose/Rangers came will still count.

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2012 : Week 11 Update…

I’ll stick my neck out and say our youngest entrant will win this weeks £20 with a game to go!

On that note… I’m off DJing on the St Etienne tour this week so I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get things done (you know, busy with all those pop star things like, um, travelling…) so please be patient with me! I’ll do my best…

I’ll send round the Week 12 scoresheet in a bit so you’ve got that but don’t rely on me for reminders!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2012 : Week 10 Roundup

“Here I am, standing here”:
In twenty odd years of PAS I don’t think we’ve ever had a winning score under 30 points. Well, “think again” comes the retort cos Howard Thomas 29(3) has managed the seemingly impossible (a bit like Palace top of the league!) and takes this week’s £20 from Neil M. A fine week all round for South London then!
“Well, what am I supposed to do”:
I guess the only consolation for Simon Lindsay 10(0) is that he’s not alone this week clocking up the worst score – come on down Gary Blackburne… (like he cares after Saturday!)
Correct Score of the Week:
Bleak is an understatement… – most popular score was Norwich’s 2-1 win over Sunderland – 14 of you got that!
Six got the 1-1 at the Etihad and 4(!) got Watford’s 4-1 victory v Barnsley.
Anders H & Harry B got the 3-0 between Super Palace & the Tesco Bags.
Stephen S got Millwall 0 Charlton.
However, this week’s best correct score goes to Ian Pratt for his inspired, WBA 0 Stoke 1.

Table News:

“My new name was repetition”:
Steve Meaton stays well and truly out front 22 points ahead of Dave C who in turn is 1 point ahead of Olly O in third as the Top Three remains unchanged. Anders H crashes the Top Ten…
“I think I hate”:
Mr 2-0 stays well and truly marooned now 9 points behind Clare T who in turn is 1 point off Vim G as the bottom three remains unchanged.
“…we’re like a big game of snakes and ladders”:
Highest climber this week, up a whopping 15 places is Howard Thomas – honourable mentions go to James C (+11), Neil M (+12), Louise B (+11), Pab (+12) and Jason M (+12)
“Well I think I’ll wait”:
Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 12 places is Alex Rossi – dishonourable mentions go to Pete B (-7), Mark S (-8), Siri O (-8), Steve T (-7) and Gary B (-11)
PAS Cup 2013:
In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2012, you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is… ”I’m – chaining – my – wife – to – the – radiator – until – she – submits – some – scores” – Neil Templeton.
Bet of the Week:
Whoop whoop! Olly O put £5 onto spot prize slot 11th courtesy of a fine away win 4-timer… and earned himself another £4 on his weekly winnings!
PAS Champions League 2012/13:
See attached for full round up by clicking on the “current” tab. Congrats to Simon B & Stephen S for securing safe passage to the knockout stages next year. Groups A, F & E are now concluded, we had our first draw (oh Alex, you should’ve let it lie!) and Jamie S has one more go to avoid a startling 12 straight CL defeats in a row!. I’ve still not managed to join the elite as Groups B, C & D go to the nail biting wire…
And Another Thing:
SANTA ETIENNE IS COMING TO TOWN
Our Christmas dates with Scritti Politti and DJ Paul Fernandez are selling out really fast. We are down to the last few at those venues that haven’t sold out already, so if you’ve not booked your ticket yet we’d advise doing it really soon…

Tue 11:
Edinburgh Liquid Room – tickets
Wed 12:
Manchester Ritz – tickets
Thu 13:
Brighton Concorde2 – SOLD OUT
Fri 14:

L13 Winter 2012 : Week 9 Roundup

Scoresheets back by 19.44 on Friday please.

It’s the penultimate week of the CL group stages and all to play for (for most) – I’ve spoken to Dave C and he said he’ll be putting in full strength scores and not giving Mr 2-0 a run out despite already qualifying for the knockout stages… unlucky Josh!

Matchday 5 fixtures as follows…

Group A
Josh Hirst v Dave Crisp / Jamie Sellers v Olly Osmond
Group B
Tony Bowley v Dan Pelgrom / Nick Hogwood v Louise Briggs
Group C
Gary Mitchell v Neil Templeton / Savan Arora v Andy Chesworth
Group D

Group G
Stephen Street v Rowan Marriott / Jamie Tofeili v Clare Templeton
Group H
Scott Harrison v Simon Buxton / Simon Lindsay v Danny Ashworth

Home people, really don’t forget your joker, it could make all the difference!

“The vision of your smiling face”:
One of the old-skoolers nailed this week’s £20 as, like his team, he turns the screw as we approach the final turn for home! Congrats to Olly Osmond 35(6) who will no doubt let his old mate Neil T know all about it! I expect the missus will be getting a little more than paper roses then Olly?!.
“All alone in my gloom”:
He lives out in the desert and I’m guessing the heat has affected his brain – Mark J Brown 6(0) is feeling bluer than Everton right now…
Correct Score of the Week:
You’re improving – I’m not… most popular score was Cardiff’s 1-2 win over Barnsley – 25 of you got that!
Eighteen got the 2-2 at Bloomfield Road and 6 got Morecambe’s 3-1 victory v Wimbledon.
7 got St Mirren 3 Dundee 1, four(!) got the five goal thriller in Derby, 4 got the non-thriller in South Wales and eleven got Spurs 3 West Ham 1.
Frankie F / Dan P / Ryan G got the 1-1 between Everton & Norwich and Howard T & Dave C got Wigan 3 Reading 2. Jamie T & Martin S got Chelsea’s zero zero with Man City.
Anders H got Hull 0 Burnley 1 & Dave T got Aberdeen’s 0-1 win against Hibs.
However, this week’s best correct score goes to John Street for his inspired if non-inspiring, Motherwell 0 Hearts 0.

Table News:

“Sittin’ in my easy chair”:
Steve Meaton stays top the league and but his lead is cut to a mere 23 points ahead of Dave C who in turn is 3 points ahead of the Top Ten crashing Olly O in third.
“It keeps on haunting me”:
Mr 2-0 stays rooted to the bottom (boo-ha-ha!) of the pile now 9 points behind Clare T who in turn is 1 point off VIm G.
“I think I see your face lookin’ up”:
Highest climber this week, up a whopping 16 places is Neil Meredith – honourable mentions go to Stuart F (+14), Gary B (+14), Matt W (+15) and Savan A (+12)
“Though we’re far apart”:
Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 11 places is Mark J Brown – dishonourable mentions go to Danny A (-14), Michelle F (-14), Norman L (-10) and Dave N (-11)
PAS Cup 2013:
In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2012, you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is… Roberto’s No. 1 fan – Martin Stafford.
Bet of the Week:
As good as the weather…
And Another Thing:
Poll or no poll?

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2012 : Week 9 BotW

This week Sam A steps up…

Here we go…

3 Draws
Brighton v Bolton, Derby v B’ham, Brechin v Forfar @ 38/1
4 Aways
Liverpool, Cardiff, Leicester, Watford @ 34/1
5 Homes
Man Utd, Leyton O, M’Boro, Blackburn, Everton @ 15/1

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2012 : Week 8 Roundup

“We should be making hay”:
West Ham caused a lot of grief this week by being inept at home (see CL update) especially for my ol’ mucker Will O! He was well ahead of the game in a very low scoring week but then up popped Sam Arora 31(4) to steal his thunder courtesy of the aforementioned 1-1 result. £20 to you Sam. Never trust those East London lot Will…
“Victory is empty there are lessons in defeat”:
I guess the only consolation for Howard Thomas 10(0) is that he’s not alone this week clocking up the worst score – come on down Paul Vinson…
Correct Score of the Week:
I’m considering changing this to Predict-A-Result… – most popular score was Hearts’ 1-0 win over St Mirren – 16 of you got that!
Eleven got the 3-0 at Selhurst and 4 got West Broms 2-1 victory v Chelsea!
Ryan B / Olly O / Rich L got the 3-0 between Liverpool & Wigan and Dan P & Sam A got Swindon 4 Yeovil 1.
Will O got QPR 1 Scummers 3 & Tony B got Reading’s 2-1 win against Everton.
However, this week’s best correct score, and best correct of the season so far, goes to Will Oppong for his inspired, Peterborough 1 Blackburn Rovers 4.

Table News:

“The sun is shining”:
Steve Meaton stays top the league and extends his lead to a massive 24 points ahead of Will O who in turn is 2 points ahead of Simon Lindq in third. Sam A crashes the Top Ten…
“You’re too far gone to even care”:
Mr 2-0 stays anchored to the bottom of the pile now 4 points behind Vim G who in turn is 5 points off Clare T.
“Bought us time on easy street”:
Highest climber this week, up a whopping 19 places is Mark J Brown – honourable mentions go to Sam A (+12), Ryan B (+17) and Siri O (+14)
“Now our paths,they never meet”:
Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 11 places is Louise Briggs – dishonourable mentions go to Jazz S (-8), Martin S (-12) and Paul V (-10)
PAS Cup 2013:
In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2012, you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is… the disgruntled sibling – Savan Arora.
Bet of the Week:
Oh. Dear. I think you can guess…
PAS Champions League 2012/13:
See attached for full round up by clicking on the “current” tab. Congrats to Dave C & Pete B for securing safe passage to the knockout stages next year. Frankie F is going the same way as her dad did last year in nort winning a single tie (Jamie S, you need to register too!). I would’ve joined the elite but for a West Ham score draw and well placed Dave T joker scuppering me by a single point – grrr!
And Another Thing:
Our worst start to a season since 1982 and you still can’t beat us! Ade, we salute your reckless damn-fool mercenary ass…

Cheers,
Pab
