L13 Winter 2010 : Week 13 – Update…

Thanks to all who took part – round up and table attached…

All prize winners will have their monies paid over very soon – congrats!

The famous PAS Poll will be having a short hiatus as the “Great PAS Data Loss” fiasco has wiped all the prep I did for it and it took me ages (boo hoo!) – I’ll be telling you what’s what anyway so look out for that you lucky lot!

I will be conducting a poll for research into where we go next with PAS so it’ll be appreciated if you could all take part.

Have a great Christmas and I’ll be in touch very soon about PAS Lucky 13 Spring 11 & the PAS Cup…

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 13 – Final Roundup

Merry Christmas!:
Despite the voided final week, you have to say he deserved his title – step up Shaun Backhouse finishing top of the pile after leading the way for most of the season. Well done Shaun, buy yourself out of that syndicate with your winnings…! Mr B had a 12 point lead over new boy Tony Morris in second place (a fine debut sir!), who finishes sixteen points above the seemingly perennial bronze medallist Neil Osbourne in third place. Andrew Darbyshire rocked up in fourth place just ahead of Charlie Harris who will be a Happy Notts boy finishing 5th on 279 points one place and one point above the charmed Neil Templeton in 6th. Dave Crisp ended up in seventh place 4 points above Mark Seels in eighth, who in turn finishes 3 points above our Cov-boy Matt Gingell in ninth. Howard Thomas finishes in 10th place, thanks to 3 correct scores and nets the last of the “big prizes”
Happy New Year?:
The battle royale didn’t get the finale it deserved but no doubt it will please someone called Sam… Savan Arora takes the wooden spoon (and a fiver!) this season!
Spot Prizers:
OK, it’s Week 13, you HAVE won these prizes! Neil Meredith is on the memories (maybe he can download some 1990 footage and reminisce at leisure over winning a League title…) at 11th, night watchman Danny Ashworth is at 13th (£25), saving some sibling rivalry face, Jason Morris is at 21st (£22.50), Stuart Longworth is on the BotW 23rd (£0 – boo! good debut though), Nick Hogwood is top Hogwood at 33rd (£15), Jessica Hirst is on the BotW 42nd (£3 – yay!), Andy Chesworth is at 43rd (£12.50) softening the blow of one week not sending in what turned out to be week winning scores, Gary Blackburne is at 52nd (£12.50) and can afford another Palace season ticket, Mark J Brown is at 57th (£10) but in Dubai so I’ll keep it (only joking lah!), Mark Shakespeare is cleaning up at 63rd (£24) and Neil Birchall is on the BotW 65th (£0 – boo!)
PAS Cup 2010:
In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2011 you had to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play (well 12 actually). Sneaking the last spot is…Sam Arora (and won’t he tell Savan about it!)
And Another Thing:
The other little bits…

Shaun B & Andrew D picked up an additional £2.50 for getting the Best Weekly Score of the Season – 47(9). Stephen Street picks up £7.50 for Best Correct Score of the Season – PNE 4 Palace 3.

Thanks again to all for taking time and bothering to enter – and a final big thank you to Dave N for providing all the behind the scenes techky stuff to enable another great season…

We’ll see the Top 32 in January for the PAS Cup & Lucky 13 Spring 11 and those game enough to take on the “cream” – the rest of you (that don’t want to play), we’ll see you in September – remember, spread the word and get all your mates involved for next season!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 12 – Roundup…

“I’m carving them up through the dust in your town”:
It’s not tricky, it’s a family affair! Mum rocked up in 3rd, li’l sis was second and big bruv came top of the pile! Josh Hirst 31 (6) enhances his boy wonder status by taking this week’s £20. Well done Josh, be nice and give Jess some money, she was only two points behind you! Anyone else as depressed as me that two little kids are leading the way and putting us to shame??
“'Cause solid currency’s the hardest to land”:
Not a great week! An even worse week for Tony Smith 6 (0). I used to knock around with a Tony Smith, he’s a West Ham fan – how apt…
Correct Score of the Week:
You get a great start – and then nothing…. – most popular score was Bolton 2 Big Sam’s Ex-Team 1 – 20 of you got that! Sam A, Me & Neil T got Inverness Cally’s 1-1 against Rangers, 9 got the 0-0 between Fulham and The Black Cats, 13 got West Ham 1 Man City 3, Rob C & Scott A got Burnley 2-3 Leeds Utd, 6 got the 5 pointer 0-0 involving Reading and Coventry and Cat J & Josh H got the 0-0 between Crystal Palace & Hull City… Sam A/Jess H/Gareth M got the 1-0 at Molineux and Mark Sh & Debbie J got (grrr!) Man Utd 1 Arsenal 0. However, this week’s best correct score goes to Dave Nicklin for his inspired Everton 0 Wigan Athletic 0.
Bet of the Week:
Smashed early doors at QPR – we’re looking for The Kid to deliver (not that I, ahem, encourage 10 year olds to bet of course…)

Table News:

“Did it all for that dollar”:
Going into the final week, Shaun Backhouse stays top, now a catchable 12 points ahead of Tony M with Neil O a further 12 points behind in third. Howard T moves into the Top Ten intent on making money to buy more protein & creatine from maximuscle.com…

Savan Arora stays bottom, now 5 points behind of Neil B. Cat J is five points further up as the battle royale at the foot of the table has got good again!

PAS Cup 2011:
In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2011(and pay a reduced entry fee!) you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is… the Good Doctor’s nemesis, Sam Arora.
And Another Thing:
The famous PAS Poll is on its way – get involved!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 13 – Update…

Hola!

There were only 13 games out of 31 played this week (including tonight) so we fell short by two games…

After much hand-wringing, ummming and ahhhing, head in hands, hands covering eyes, gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair, the PAS Board (cum Pools Panel) decided “rules is rules” and Week 13 is officially void with no plans to try and schedule an additional week to complete a thirteen week season (if this had happened in Week 8 we would have had a 12 week season anyway – so it’s very unfortunate that it happened in the final week).

So, those who were in favourable positions on Week 12, you have Jack Frost, Frosty the Snowman, Mother Nature et al to thank for bringing you good fortune! The rest of us can only wonder and growl further at the inclement weather.

Week 13’s £20 prize will now carry over to Week 1 of PAS Lucky 13 Spring 11 – so all the more reason to get involved eh?!

Full round up asap…

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 11 – Roundup…

“All the things I take”:
You did well to get double figures this week, and to get more than double that is quite an achievement! So, well done to Julian Fernandez 22 (4) in fluking this week’s £20 – a timely prize that he will no doubt turn into Yen for his forthcoming grand holiday… I dunno, one week my missus, then my bruvver, what next? Frankie winning a week??!
“And the books don’t lie”:
And neither does the matrix! (well, sometimes it does when we don’t put the scores in properly…) Hanging their heads in (sorta) shame are Sam Arora & Josh Hirst 5(0)…

Shaun Backhouse stays top, now a big 18 points ahead of Tony M with Neil O a further 15 points behind in third. Neil T moves into the Top Ten intent on making money just to wave it in my face along with his Dream Team prize money and wager off me – grrrrrrr……

He only entered PAS to beat his brother and not only is he 43 points ahead of him; he’s just won a weekly prize to boot! Tony Morris 29 (5) is having a fine debut just pipping a host of you to the £20. Play nice now Tony….
“I caught a glimpse and it’s not me”:
Actually it is you! Yes, you Anders Hoglund 6(0)! Judging by the last few weeks’ scores, our Week 6 winner is really really tired or his 4 month old is doing his scores for him…

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 9 – Roundup…

“Walking 'round the room singing…”:
Back in 1989 I started PAS just to mug off my then work colleagues cos I knew more about footy than they did. How? Cos I pored over results, stats, tables, form etc for mere pleasure and used this to take money off unsuspecting “victims”. As PAS snowballed to become what it is today, I’ve found myself second in the all-time earners chart (a poor second behind the Jazzenator mind) so my ambitions were realised on an even grander scale! However, over the last few seasons my “knowledge” isn’t paying dividends thanks to unpredictable English & Scottish leagues and a new breed of PASers are reaping the rewards! Yes, Michelle Fernandez 38(6) has won her 3rd £20 in two seasons thanks to her “you read out the fixtures and I’ll think of a score” technique that takes all over 80 seconds to complete… I want to weep. And we lost to Sp*rs…..
“Things ain't cooking in my kitchen”:
Things are looking up though as my little daughter Frankie Fernandez 10 (1) is obviously taking after her dad and studying form to ill effect as well! Actually, as her nan does her scores, does that mean I take after my mum??!
Correct Score of the Week:
I hate football…. – most popular score was Blackpool 2 Wolves 1 – 22 of you got that score! 6 got Derby’s 3-2 against Scunthorpe, 6 got the 3-1 between QPR and The Lilywhites, 7 got Liverpool 3 West Ham 0 and 6 got the 2-2 between Sunderland & Everton… Jamie T got Kilmarnock 2 Rangers 3 and Tony S got Sheff Utd 3 Palace 2. Neil B got the 0-1 at the Riverside. However, this week’s best correct score goes to Vim Gupta for his inspired Celtic 1 Dundee Utd 1.
Bet of the Week:
Oh maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, so close but so Huddersfield….

Table News:

“…conquer the blue sky”:
Shaun Backhouse stays top now a quite a big 35 points ahead of the Tony M with Charlie H is a further 4 points behind in third. Dave N moves into the Top Ten intent on making money for a Toon top with “Carroll” on the back for his bairn…
“…going nowhere on the mantlepiece”:
Savan Arora stays to the bottom 2 points adrift of Catriona J. Neil B is only four points further up as the battle royale at the foot of the table continues…
“Well, it's the same room, but everything's different”:
Highest climbers this week, up a whopping 22 places is Michelle Fernandez – honourable mentions go to Mr 2-0 (+10), Olly O (+10), Simon Lindq (+10) and Mark D-S-C (+9).
“Strange affliction wash over me”:
Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 13 places is Francesca Fernandez -dishonourable mentions go to Anders H (-11), Mark G (-11), Mark G (-10), Howard T (-8), Stephen S (-8), Ben H (-9), Gary B (-8) and Vicki O (-9)
PAS Cup 2011:
In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2011(and pay a reduced entry fee!) you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is… El Presidente, Moi!
And Another Thing:
17 years – as long as they don’t do the same to us in the CL…

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 8 – Roundup…

“We stake our claim”:
As my mate at Talkin’ Loud might’ve once said, “Jazz is dead! Long live the new Jazz!”… Yep, Shaun Backhouse 45 (7) is threatening to be Man Yoo to Jazz S’s Liverpool with his second weekly win of the season whilst riding high in the table. Another fine win sir, £20 will be paid to the syndicate post haste!
“Exactly who are you?”:
A joint effort at being completely rubbish this week comes from Savan Arora & Catriona Johnstone 8 (0) – hide behind the sofa when you look at the table…!
Correct Score of the Week:
I have no idea how people got correct scores this week – most popular score was St Johnstone 0 Hearts 2 – 15 of you got that score! 10 got Burnley’s 3-2 against Watford, 7 got the 3-1 between Leeds and The Robins and 4 got Hamilton 1 Inverness 3… Sean P & Stu L got Nottm Forest 0 QPR 0 and Rob C & Dan P got Gillingham 1 Crewe 3. Martin S got the 0-0 at Eastlands and Stu L got Newcastle 0 Fulham 0. However, this week’s best correct score goes to Dave Crisp for his inspired Aston Villa 2 Man Utd 2.
Bet of the Week:
Paul H’s pseudo bet of the week goes the way of all the others…

Table News:

“Too right to be wrong…”:
Shaun Backhouse stays top now a massive 47 points ahead of the emerging Tony M (letting your bruv know about it??!) and the chasing pack, lead by Charlie H is a further 2 points behind in third. Howard T & Dave C move into the Top Ten intent on making money for some serious bench pressing gym bunny time…
“Is there nothing left?”:

“Too set in out ways to try to rearrange”:
Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 12 places are Richard Hirst & Jazz Sian – dishonourable mentions go to Josh H (-10), Tony B (-10), Mark G (-10), Jamie S (-10) and, completing a shocker in Casa Hirst, Jess H (-11)
PAS Cup 2011:
In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2011 (and pay a reduced entry fee!) you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is…still the Staffs terrier, Rob Currin.
And Another Thing:
Don’t spill Dr Pepper on your laptop – it will die….

Cheers,

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 7 – Roundup…

“Now our lives are changing fast”:
Very close week this week and it turns out to be a bit of a mystery man who is the winner – just pipping Charlie H courtesy of his QPR 3-1, Paul Henshaw 36 (7) takes the weekly £20. All I can tell you is that he’s part of the sinister Seelsy syndicate and that he probably won’t even see his winnings as it all goes to the greater good of the “treasurer’s” bank account…
“I was left standing in the wilderness downtown”:
Thought I might see this young fellow at my brother’s party on Saturday but after Sp*rs losing to Bolton I wasn’t surprised by his absence. So, Simon Lindsay 7(0), I’m even less surprised you didn’t turn up…!
Correct Score of the Week:
Quite thin on the ground this week – most popular score was Blackburn 2 Wigan 1 – 19 of us got that score! 4 got Blackpool’s 2-2 against Everton, 4 got the 3-1 between QPR and The Royals and 18 got St Mirren 1 Rangers 3… Shaun B / Savan A / Scott A got Coventry 2 Leeds 3 and Rob C & Gareth M got Norwich City 2 Burnley 2. However, this week’s best correct score goes to Rich Lee for his inspired Cardiff City 0 Swansea City 1.
Bet of the Week:
Anders went for it and… failed. Can Paul H halt the bad form??

Table News:

“Hope that something pure can last”:

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 6 – Roundup…

“I don’t mean to brag or boast just to tell ya I’m great”:
Absolutely smashing the opposition and he had a chance to get the best tally this season, Anders Hoglund 44 (8) takes the weekly prize. Not sure how far £20 will go in Gothenburg, but if he doesn’t spend the dosh on young George, I know a great little mini-golf course he can wile the hours away on…
“You can’t talk because you suffer from paralysis”:
Not even your team humiliating your nearest neighbours can take the pain away from scoring 8 (0)…yes, Geordie Dave Nicklin, it’s you!
Correct Score of the Week:
Tuff week if you’re not a Viking! – most popular score was Barnsley 1 Hull 1 & Portsmouth 2 Nottm Forest 1 – 15 of you got one or both those scores! 6 got Celtic’s 0-3 against St Johnstone, 6 got the 3-1 between Cardiff and The Canaries and 5 got Villa 0 Brum 0… Vim G & Andy C got Palace 0 Swansea 3, Charlie H got Middlesbro 1 Bristol C 2 and Jessica H got Rangers 1 Inverness C T 1. However, this week’s best correct score goes to Anthony Yearwood for his inspired Wolves 2 Man City 1.
Bet of the Week:
Mark F spat his dummy out when I banned his proposed “Canadian” and failed to submit any selections – the good news is that spot prize slot 42nd now has a whole £3 against it!

Table News:

“So be quiet and let an educator teach this”:
Shaun Backhouse stays top now 9 points ahead of Andrew D and these two continue pulling away from the chasing pack as Neil M is a further 11 points behind in third. Tony B moves into the Top Ten intent on keeping his title…

PAS Cup 2011:
In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2011 (and pay a reduced entry fee!) you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is…the music man, Mark Grey.
And Another Thing:
That goal couldn’t have happened to a nicer team….

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 5 – Roundup…

“unexpected you pretend…”:
We always have a “yo-yo” player and this season it appears to be Andrew D! From 9(0) last week to 41(7) this, he was just beaten to the post by Mark Fawke 43 (8). Our “Drazic” (remember “Heartbreak High” kids?!) is one of the old skool and hasn’t won some dosh for a while – I remember when he used to spend it on wine, women and erm, wrong but I trust this £20 will be banked for Kid A that is imminently due…
“staring at your hands for the answer”:
Rooney does a u-turn but still it’s grim for our Man Yoo friends! Martin Stafford 8(0) will face a major barracking, from one Wiganer in particular I’ll wager…

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 4 – Roundup…

“Bones are trembling…”:
Oooh it was a right ol’ ding-dong for top spot this week (check out the best correct scores!) with Charlie H narrowly missing out to Sam Arora 38 (5) who just nicked in front thanks to the stalemate at Ewood….Well done Sam, make sure your bruv and Vim G hear all about your twenty quid!
“I don’t know what you came here for”:
It’s dark days being a Man Yoo fan at the moment what with Owen Hargreaves on his way back and the Scouser looking to alienate himself from another set of adoring fans…even darker then for, I-was-there-before-we-bought-the-title, Andrew Darbyshire 9(0)…

Will O & Catriona J got the 3-2 between Cardiff and The Robins and Neil T & Charlie H got Blackpool 2 Man City 3! Julian F got Aston Villa 0 Chelsea 0 (thanks to Nigel) and Charlie H got Newcastle 2 Wigan 2. However, this week’s best correct score and new best correct of the season so far, goes to Sam A for his inspired Sheffield Utd 3 Burnley 3. (and he got Port Vale 0 – 0 Gillingham!)
Bet of the Week:

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 3 – Roundup…

“It’s temporary, this place I’m in”:
Always bumper scores to be had on an international week as every seasoned PASer knows, and funny enough, it’s one of the stalwarts who takes this week’s £20! Howard Thomas 46 (8) just beat rising star Josh H for his first weekly win of the season. Well done Hitman, hopefully that’ll raise a smile in light of the recent redundancy from work mate… (he still beats peop, I mean, escorts them from nightclub premises though…)
“I permanently won’t do this again”:
Here’s a scoop for our resident hack – “Gareth Morgan 14(0), pivotal PAS pundit performance palaver presents perfect primetime for p*ss taking..”
Correct Score of the Week:
No, the 8-0 remained unpredicted – most popular score was Slovakia 1 Eire 1 – 20 of you got that! 5 got the 0-0 in Luxembourg, 12 got Austria’s 3-0 v Azerbaijan and 10 got Germany’s 3-0 against Turkey. 4 of you got the 0-0 between Norn Iron and the Azzurri and 12 got Portugal 3 Denmark 1 (and another 12 got Iceland 1 Portugal 3). Andy C /Neil M got Slovenia 5 Faroe Islands 1 and Dave N got Spain 3 Lithuania 1. However, this week’s best correct score and new best correct of the season so far, goes to Josh Hirst for his inspired Scotland 2 Spain 3. So, Josh really is smarter than Vicky O & a nearly 9 year old sister!
Bet of the Week:
Double whammy as Serbia prove to be the coupon-buster more so for Andrew D rather than Shaun B….

Table News:

“… I think it’s finally time for me to laugh about it”:
Shaun Backhouse stays top 7 points ahead of Andrew D who in turn is 1 point ahead of Josh H & Howard T. Tony B moves ominously into the Top Ten…
“It gets lonely for heavens sake”:

The new online scoresheet function is ready for beta-testing (ooh a techkie word!) so when I get time to sort my life out I’ll be inviting some of you to get involved – seemit as an honour rather than a chore mes amigos…

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 2 – Roundup…

“How did you get so very high”:
You’d think scoring 40 points would secure a weekly win wouldn’t you? But no, Charlie H, it doesn’t. So, then you’d think getting 47 points with a mighty impressive 9 correct scores would win you £20 yeah? Well, no actually. It only wins you £10 this week as both Andrew Darbyshire & Shaun Backhouse 47 (9) somehow managed this fine tally. Well done boys, it’ll take some beating…
“If luck was a bird then you shot it down”:
Oh dear! The 3 minute flash scoring method will need a rethink as Michelle Fernandez 8(1) brings shame to our name. If she was Scouse she’d be wearing an armband….
Correct Score of the Week:
Another round of fine predicting – most popular score was Rangers win at the Jambos – 22 of you got that! 8 got the 3-1 at Fir Park, 7 got Celtic’s 3-1 v Hamilton and 4 got Leicester’s 3-1 against Sunderland. 4 of you got the 2-2 between Boro & Pompey and 4 got Hull 0 Coventry 0. Andy C / Mark F / Jamie S got Bristol City 0 Norwich City 3 and Dave N / Sean P / Vicki O got Swansea 0 Derby Co. 0. However, this week’s best correct score and new best correct of the season so far, goes to Vicki Osmond for her very brave Liverpool 1 Blackpool 2. So, Vicki really is smarter than a nearly 9 year old?! (sorry I got your age wrong last week Jess H!)
Bet of the Week:
As my Forest mate said, “Doncaster my @rs*” And how right he was! Yep, Dave C had a mare and won nowt for spot prize slot 23rd – next up is the Andrew D & Shaun B show…

Table News:

“You got so high you almost touched the sky”:
Shaun Backhouse moves up 11 places t go 1 point ahead on Andrew D who in turn is 9 points ahead of Jamie S in third.
“Lady luck couldn’t wish you more luck than I”:
Ooops! Vim Gupta goes down 24 places to the bottom of the pile one point behind Jason M.
“So take a jump”:
Highest climber this week, up a whopping 47 places is Charlie Harris – honourable mentions go to Debbie J (+30), Rich L (+31), Tony B (+25), Nick H (+28) and Jon T (+25)
“I won’t look at you and ask why”:
Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 57 places is Michelle Fernandez – dishonourable mentions go to Stephen S (-22), Ellen F (-31), Mark F (-24), Catriona J (-50) and Vim G (-24)
PAS Cup 2011:
In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2011 (and pay a reduced entry fee!) you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is… my fantasy friend, Stuart Longworth.
And Another Thing:
You’ll see from the table we’ve lost a player (boo!) and we might be losing another (double boo!) – not paid yet?! Get your payment across as soon as please!

Gonna be away in future weeks? Well, you’ll be able to find scoresheets up to and including Week 6, download and send over in good time!

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 2 BotW

7 Homes:
Doncaster, Ipswich, Swansea, Celtic, Man City, Liverpool, West Ham (47/1)

Result: LOSE!

L13 Winter 2010 : BotW Info

First up will be my old mucker Crispy – we had varying degrees of success with this last season but I’ll try and make it a bit easier to get some money into the spot prize coffers…

If you win a week you’ll be asked to provide 3 home win accumulators this season – 6 homes, 7 homes and 8 homes. I’m guessing the logical way to do this is to pick 8 and then whittle one away for 7 and then another for your 6, but, hey, you can do what you want.

Just remember though you’re trying to add to your £20 winnings and put some money into an allotted spot prize position for those less fortunate than yourself! We’ve set aside £3 a week from the entry fees to pay for this so let’s make sure we win it all back and then some!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Winter 2010 : Week 1 – Roundup…

“You are the star, win the applause”:
We nearly had a debutant winning in his first week! Jez H was leading all the way until Sunday lunchtime when a fine Bolton display earned a 2-2 draw to scupper his haughty claims. All good then for Dave Crisp 30 (4) who stole in to take the £20 weekly prize – put it this way, Mr Crisp’s hungover presence at the Emirates on Saturday leads me to believe his money won’t be spent on booze…
“You should know the score, you should know the score by now”:
It was a random week for scores (not sure how I managed 20 points!) and Dan Pelgrom 6 (0) felt it more random than most… get it out the way early doors Dan!
Correct Score of the Week:
Despite what appeared to be a random week, quite a few of you did alright, you show offs – 10 got the 3-0 at Loftus Road, 5 got Fulham’s stalemate with Everton and 5 got Liverpool’s 2-2 with Sunderland. Julian F & Frankie F got Birmingham 0 Wigan 0, Stuart L (fine debut Stu!) & Howard T got West Ham 1 Sp*rs 0, Mark G & Cat J got Nottm For 3 Swansea 1 and Scott A (welcome back Scotty!) & Neil M got Reading 3 Barnsley 0. Andy C/Jez H/Cat J got the “desmond” at Hamilton, Dave C & Jamie S got Man Yoo’s two-two at the Reebok and Gareth M & Tony M (welcome onboard Tony – nice 9 points!) got Aberdeen 2 Rangers 3. Michelle F got Stoke’s surprise win at the Toon and Scott A got Watford 3 Boro 1. However, this weeks best correct score and therefore best correct of the season so far, goes to Jessica Hirst for her inspired Burnley 0 Bristol City 0. So, are you smarter than a 6 year old?!

Lots of payments have come in – thanks! Anyone who hasn’t got round to it, please do as soon as possible – don’t make me chase you!

Other news, Dave N who deals with all the science stuff behind PAS, is busy looking after his new bairn and developing the site to include (gasp!) an online scoresheet! I’ve tried the prototype and it’s like a dream (no faffing with Word docs for a start!) – I’ll keep you posted on when you can join in the fun but in the meantime, I may call on a few of you to do some road-testing.

Gonna be away in future weeks? Well, from Thursday you’ll be able to find scoresheets up to and including Week 6, download and send over in good time!

That’s it for this week – oh, we got any Baggies fans playing? You were good on Saturday and Di Matteo is the man – You.Are.Staying.Up!

Pab
