L13 Spring 2009 : Week 13 – Final Table News

Hero:
Classic nail biting finish to the season sees Jamie Tofeili bring some cheer to Geordieland by clinching the title by two points from Dave Crisp who just like his equine namesake, just ran out of steam in the last stretch. Well done Jamie, you’re now 7th in the all time top scores and make sure you shake your wad at your bruv! Unlucky Dave – take some consolation in that you had the most correct scores over the season (I think we’ll start to reward that next season) and were the first player to record a hat-trick of weekly wins AND the fact you finished a close 2nd after a recording a score of 4 points in one week is a feat in its self! Jason Morris kept the “syndicate” happy with a credible third (as did Mark Seels back in 6th). Neil Templeton has some “nappy” money in the bank at 4th and also carries off the “best correct score of the season” with his amazing St. Mirren 1 Celtic 0 (remember, just a week before was a 7-0 reverse!). El Presidente has 5th place to take his mind off just missing out on a Cup Final (me and Arsenal in negative symbiosis?!). Jon Tofeili makes it a family affair in the Top Ten by finishing 7th and newcomer Rob Hathorn capped a fine debut with an 8th place finish and two weekly wins. As Danny Ashworth (9th) is Frankie’s uncle, it’s only right he spends his winnings on her and Shaun Backhouse sneaked in the back door to prevent another debutant winning any money in 10th.
Zero:
Damn and blast! Mr.2-0 escaped the ultimate humiliation by virtue of 2 correct scores leaving Will Oppong this season’s wooden spooner. So close Will, so close! Anders Hoglund ended up the lowest finisher (42nd) of our overseas friends and Sweden now mourns while Singapore and Dubai celebrate wildly (obviously!)
Contender:
Highest climber this week is Mark J Brown up 9 places to 26th. Honourable mentions for Danny A (+4), Francesca F (+4), Ben H (+7), Mark S (+4) and Jamie S (+6)
Failed:
Falling furthest this week is Gareth Morgan down 14 places to 35th – dishonourable mentions for Louise B (-4), Greg E (-6), Lisa G (-4), Dave N (-8) and Dan P (-5).
Spot Prizers:
OK, it’s Week 13, you HAVE won these prizes! Tony Smith has to make do with all those, ahem, lovely promos in 11th (getting 32 points in the final week and still going down 2 places is a bit of a sickener!), Jon Allin and his notorious 0-0s shows that crime does actually pay in13th (+2), and Dave Nicklin has yet again encouraged the “it’s a fix! he’s on the Board!” mob with an unlikely finish at 33rd (-8)

PASers,

Thanks again for taking part – it’s been a pleasure!

We’ll be back in September for the official 20th anniversary “season” so make sure you spread the word over the long hot summer – if everyone can get at least one more person to play we’ll have a memorable 13 weeks – I’ll do my best to rally the old skool players who have fallen by the wayside – I WANT to break that 120 entries barrier!

There will be rule changes, new features and website news coming your way as and when, so keep a “bookmark” on the webpage as Dave N will be beavering away to bring it all up-to-date and nice and shiny and polished (there’s rumours of an “online” score entry feature – imagine that!)

We’ve just got the PAS Cup Final to be decided between Jazz Sian and Lisa Grey (will Lisa be the first girl to win the Cup? Will Jazz take his career earnings to double that of his nearest rival?) and you’ll be duly updated…

All “prize winners” will receive their money this week.

Adios amigos – have great summer, make sure you come back in September!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 13 – Roundup…

Hollywood Final:
Obviously the season for multiple weekly wins this season – our QPR friend Rob Hathorn 45(7) collects his second of the season just nicking past Danny A in the final week to claim the last £20 – congrats Rob, you might wanna wave it in the face of the young man below…
93rd Minute Misery:
If Chelsea being dealt injustice after injustice wasn’t enough, we got a Spurs fan running in the last worst score of the week! Gareth Morgan 12 (0) has managed to get the score no one wants especially on the last week – bless.
Correct Score of the Week:
No one got the 4-2… Fifteen got THE MOST OBVIOUS 0-0 involving Wigan and Bolton. Eight got Liverpool 3 Newcastle 0, seven got Celtic’s 1-3 at Aberdeen and seven more got Man City’s Europa League encouraging 3-1 v Blackburn. Four got Arsenal’s 3-0 at Pompey, Olly O & Matt G got the quite unbelievable Port Vale 1-2 away win and Jamies T & S and Jon A got Forest 3 Southampton 1. Danny A got Chelsea 3 Fulham 1, Tony B got a cool 8 points from the Palace – Sheff U stalemate and Louise B got Watford 3 Derby 1.This week’s Best Correct Score award goes to Jazz Sian for his inspired (nee jammy) Burnley 4 Bristol City 0.
Bet of the Week:
One treble came in (well done Rich L!) and one treble didn’t (unlucky Tony B!) so we gained a fiver to take the overall season balance to minus £20. Ahh well, exciting new format to look forward to next season that should ensure this particular feature is taken VERY seriously next season!

Table News:

Ooooh it’s gone to the wire but in Saturday reality talent show tradition, we like to milk the suspense, so you’ll have to wait a bit longer for the full lowdown – only right it gets the top billing it deserves (read: this weekend. I’m out and about til then and still a bit peed off about Tuesday – bah!)

PAS Cup:
We still have the Cup Final to be decided between Jazz Sian & Lisa Grey – you will receive updates and results cos I know you luv it!
And Another Thing:
RVP on the goal minute spread still didn’t really soften the blow…

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 13 BotW

Final Bet of the Week (the last in this format – look out for exciting feature next season!) is a two pronged attack to try and get us into the black…

First up – Rich Lee…

my first win for ages, was considering retiring myself as I’ve been so crap. Pab you would have been proud, you got a mention in the end of season awards ’taxi’ category last night for that Berbatovesk penalty of yours, unfort you weren’t the winner.

Re bet, could go silly with a Tranmere away victory or safer with 3 homes: Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool

Safe to say he chose not to go with the Wools option and backed the treble @ 2/1

Result: WIN!

Next, Tony Bowley…

Can I offer a championship alternative for those who like the man’s version of the game? (for man’s substitute “poor”).

Reading to beat Birmingham(c’mon you Royals!).

Palace to draw with the Blades. (Warnock’s revenge).

Canaries to fall of the perch at the Valley. Charlton Norwich draw.

Could just as easily go the other way but that’s why we love it!

And the tricky trees are rebuilding under King Billy, get your cheque book out Doughty, so the good times are rolling back across the City Ground. Promised land here we come!

26/1 for that triptych – fingers crossed…

Result: LOSE -£20.00

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 12 – Roundup…

Pigs Might Fly:
A joint effort from Tony Bowley & Rich Lee 34 (6) stopped Dave C claiming his 4th weekly win courtesy of 2 correct scores. £10 each then chaps – Tony B will no doubt buy a bottle of “we’re-staying-up” cava and Rich L a bottle of the “we’re-not-going-to-win-the-league” variety…
Swine Flu:
A miserable weekend all round for familia Fernandez as Francesca Fernandez 15 (1) was joined by her dad (still suffering a PAS Cup semi hangover) and John McSherry (still suffering a proper Sunday League Cup Final hangover)
Correct Score of the Week:
No one got the 5-2… Four got THE MOST OBVIOUS 0-0 involving QPR and Plymouth. Gareth M & Matt W got the two-two between Leicester & Scunthorpe and Jason M/Matt D/Rich L got Southampton 2 Burnley 2. Eight got Rangers 3 St Mirren 0, five got Liverpool’s 1-3 at Hull, and four got Brentford’s title clinching 1-3 v Darlo. This week’s Best Correct Score accolade goes to Tony Smith for his Birmingham 1 PNE 2.
Bet of the Week:
Jon Allin’s “awayday” treble was left wanting do we go into the final week £25 down – only a double header can save us now…come on down Tony B & Rich L!

Table News:

Top Hole:
back to the top goes Dave Crisp carrying a five point advantage over Jason M in second place going into the final week. Jamie T is another six points behind with an outside chance of winning the title…
The Well:
He’s off the bottom! Matt W has a majestic week leaving Mr 2-0 in his wake and firmly bottom of the pile – hooray! Let’s keep him there Will O et al…
Getting There:
Highest climber this week is Tony Bowley up 6 places to 22nd. Honourable mentions for Tony S (+4) and Rich L/Shaun B (+5)
Tailing Off:
Falling furthest this week is Francesca Fernandez down 8 places to 20th – dishonourable mentions for Greg E/Nick H/Ben H/John McS (-4) and Jamie S (-6).
Spot Prizers:
OK, if you finish on these positions at the end of Week 13, you WILL win these prizes! Shaun B is on the promos at 11th (+5), Danny A is at 13th (+2), and Jamie S is on 33rd (-6)
PAS Cup:
Congrats to Jazz Sian and Lisa Grey on their semi final victories last week – the winner will be decided on May 27-30.
And Another Thing:
It’s going to be a long long summer from next Monday…

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 12 BotW

Bet of the Week comes from Jon Allin – and there’s me thinking he’d target some 0-0s…

A quick away treble for the BOTW… Burnley, Forest & Peterborough. Think you can get about 8/1 on that little beauty.

Result: LOSE -£25.00

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 11 – Roundup…

Sweets From A Baby:
If there was any doubts about the 0-0 points changing next season they were firmly put to rest as Jon Allin 41(4) cynically exploited the loop hole and benefited to take his second weekly win of the season – little Francesca F was so upset at finishing second she cried herself to sleep not even finishing her bottle…
Sour Times:
A miserable weekend all round for familia Fernandez as Julian Fernandez 9 (0) clocked up his second worst score of the week for the season
Correct Score of the Week:
No one got the 6-0… Nine got THE MOST OBVIOUS 0-0 involving Middlesbro and Fulham, 6(!) got 9 points from Ipswich 3 – Norwich 2 and another 4 got 8 points from Dundee U v Kilmarnock – David G / Jamie T / Jon A chipped in for a big bonus by nailing Man Utd 0 Everton 0. Scott A & Richard H got the Hibs 2 Rangers 3 and Richard H & Neil T got Leeds’s 3-1 v Tranmere. Frankie F & her dad got the two-two between Charlton & Blackpool, Jason M got Falkirk 0 Hearts 0 and Jon A got the 0-0 at the Madejski. This week’s Best Correct Score goes to Jazz Sian for his Man City 4 WBA 2 – in a normal season, nailed on for best correct score of the season, but we’ve had that St Mirren one, haven’t we!
Bet of the Week:
Arsene picked the wrong team so we lost this week and are now £20 with 2 weeks to go – Jon A, got any 0-0s for us to bet on???!

Surging to the top, Jason Morris has a two point lead over Jamie T. Dave C falls to third a further 3 points behind…

PAS Cup:
Both semi finals were decided by the 90th goals at Ipswich and Man City
And Another Thing:
Never change your score from 3-2 to 4-2!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 11 BotW

Bet of the Week comes from Mark Shakespeare – can he turn £15 down to £20 up? He thinks so…

How about Everton & Arsenal to contest the cup final? Should be able to get around 6/1.

Result: LOSE -£20.00

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 10 – Roundup…

Macbeth:
Very much seeing the woods from the trees, our very own “Bard of PAS” Mark Shakespeare 31(4) won this week’s £20 just seeing off Neil T & Tony B. Would you believe he got all the Scottish scores right too? Well he didn’t…
McDuff:
Oh William it was really nothing… actually it was 13(0) for Will Oppong – off with his head!
Correct Score of the Week:
A Fernandez family fare this week… Six got 5 points from Wolves v Southampton and another 6 got 5 points from Rangers – Motherwell… – li’l Frankie F got the only nil-nil this week between Charlton & Birmingham and yours truly got the 3-1 at the Riverside. However, this week’s Best Correct Score goes to Julian Fernandez for his Liverpool 4 Blackburn 0. Good boy!
Bet of the Week:
Yay! We won! Crispy’s acca netted £25 so now we’re only £15 in the red with three weeks to go – Mark S, over to you…

Table News:

Other Stuff:
Please make sure you send your scores back on a Word doc where possible! PDFs and normal emails are a proper pain…
And Another Thing:
Mr 2-0 could finish bottom – c’mon Will!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 10 BotW

Bet of the Week for the third time this season comes from Dave Crisp….£40 down, we need a winner!

4 homes Wolves / Liverpool / Chelsea / Swansea to win

If they come in, that’ll give us a £15 deficit going into Week 11…

Result: WIN! -£15.00

Happy Easter!
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 9 – Roundup…

Angstgegner:
He doesn’t wear one, but he’s just performed a trick with one… Dave Crisp 44 (7) records his third weekly win this season (the first person to do so in 20 years!) just edging out Jon T, Tony B and Matt G in another high scoring week – well done Crispy, that’s paid for all your ticket when we go to Anfield to scupper another title dream in that ’89 kit…
Bauernspitz:
Hardly a “poor” score but Francesca Fernandez 16 (2) managed to end up bottom of the pile this week and at the same time bring the family name into disrepute. Bed with no tea for you girl!
Correct Score of the Week:
You we’re al over the stalemates… Nine got THE MOST OBVIOUS 0-0 involving QPR and Crystal Palace, 9 got 8 points from Hull v Portsmouth and another 8 got 8 points from Coventry – Reading – nine others chipped in for a big bonus by nailing Celtic 4 Hamilton 0. Nine got the last gasp Cardiff 2 Swansea 2 and 5 got Heart’s 3-1 v Kilmarnock. Tony S & Richard H got the two-two between Dundee U & Hibs and Louise B & Ben H got the “6 pointer” at the Hawthorns. This week’s Best Correct Score goes to Matt Gingell for his Man Utd 3 Aston Villa 2 – in a normal season nailed on for best correct score of the season, but we’ve had that St Mirren one, haven’t we!
Bet of the Week:
Mr Crisp’s tip could only manage 7th in the National (did I tell you I had Mon Mome on the spreads?!) but hopefully it will be third time lucky for Crispy (and us!) cos we bloomin’ well need it!

Result: LOSE -£40.00

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 8 – Roundup…

Wor Alan:
Whoah! Where did that come from?? Shhhurely an April’s Fool! But no! Dave Crisp 60 (10) really did record the second highest weekly score ever (and from a man who can get the lowest weekly score too! In the same season! Dontcha just luv PAS?!) A proper “feast” of an international week saw several players record scores of over 40 without a sniff of the £20 – and spare a (small) thought for Shaun B who got 53 points… Well done Crispy, that’s paid for half your ticket when we go to Anfield to scupper another title dream in that ’89 kit…
Scummers:
Hardly a “poor” score but Julian Fernandez 17 (0) managed to end up bottom of the pile this week and at the same time bring the family name into disrepute.

Five of us got THE MOST OBVIOUS 0-0 involving Slovenia and Czech Rep, 12 got 8 points from Germany v Liechtenstein and another 9 got 8 points from Holland – Macedonia – four others chipped in for a bonus by nailing Portugal 0 Sweden 0. Eleven got Malta 0 Denmark 3, 6 got Holland’s 3-0 v Scotland, 4 got the Danes 2nd 3-0 victory and 4 managed to get the historic Czech Rep 1 Slovakia 2 scoreline. Gareth M & Will O got the one-one between Italy & Ireland but this week’s Best Correct Score goes to Mark Seels for his Armenia 2 Estonia 2 (mostly cos it was unique!)
Bet of the Week:
Rob Hathorn’s British/Irish/Iberian acca fell foul thanks to Ireland and Portugal (typical!), so now we’re £35 down and looking to Mr Crisp to come up with a Red Rum..

Table News:

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 7 – Roundup…

Stevie Me:
Monster monster score in a quite average scoring week has paid dividends for Rob Hathorn 46 (8) winning him the weekly £20. Well done Roberto, QPR don’t need your money so you might want to spend it on a treat for Toon missus – she’ll need cheering up!

The blanket scoring and 0-0 mania seems to have calmed down this week – cool! We are making a ruling on 0-0 at the end of the season, so PLEASE complete the survey we sent round last week as we need your feedback and thoughts on this!
And Another Thing:
As of Week 6, my scores will be sent to a different individual each week rather than mailed “to all”… And if you’re wondering how a baby completes a scoresheet each week, she doesn’t, her mum/nan does it for her (but once she can hold and throw some dice we’ll be using that technique!)

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 5 BotW

Bet of the Week comes from PAS debutant weekly winner Tony Smith… you can tell he’s new, he’s being sensible!

I will have to go with a fairly dull footie double – Man United and Real Madrid win double!

Around 2/1 for that, so if it comes in we’ll be evens!

Result: LOSE -£20.00

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 4 – Roundup…

7-0:
We love it here when a debutant wins some money (mostly cos it’s a great marketing exercise… Guess what? I won some money putting down some footie scores! You should sign up for next season…), so well done to PAS virgin Tony Smith 35 (5) who walks away with £20 just edging out Shaun B.
0-0 again:
The nightmare scores continue – this week in the sub 10 points gang, are Rich Lee / David Goggin 7 (0)
Correct Score of the Week:
Sparse, very sparse pickings… Eight got THE MOST OBVIOUS 0-0 at Hibs (it wasn’t was it), 6 got M K Dons 2 Leicester 2 and 4 got THE EVEN MORE OBVIOUS 0-0 at the Emirates (grrrrrr!). No best correct score this week, but my little girl and Matt Gingell rustled up Bristol City 0 Blackpool 0 for a most welcome 8 points…
Bet of the Week:
John McSherry stepped up with a seemingly nailed on accumulator and got batted away early doors to leave us £15 in the hole…Tony S, you’re up next!

Table News:

Tip top:
Jamie Tofeili opens up a 9 point lead at the top from the tightly packed peloton below
Illin’:
Will Oppong remains bottom now only (ONLY!) 12 points from David G
Getting better:
Highest climber this week is Shaun Backhouse up 24 places to 10th. Honourable mentions for Tony S (+16), Francesca F (+16) and Mark Se (+14)
Coming down:
Falling furthest this week is Mark J Brown down 24 places to 31st – dishonourable mentions for Lisa G (-12), Jon A (-12), Danny A (-16) and Rich L (-10)
Spot Prizers:
OK, if you finish on these positions at the end of Week 13, you WILL win these prizes! John McS is on the promos at 11th(+4), Dan P is at 13th (-3), and Greg E is on 33rd (-9)
Other Stuff:
The 0-0 abuse continues unabated (we had to disqualify one player this week!) and there is an emergency board meeting tonight to discuss the best way to combat the problem…
And Another Thing:
It’s PAS Cup week this week as well as a normal league week – for players in both competitions, your scores will count for both (minus any bonus “joker” points for the League)

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 4 BotW

Bet of the Week comes from Johnny McSherry…

5 team home accumulator to win at odds of 10/1 at coral Bolton, Bristol City , Everton, Wolves and Swansea

Bon chance!

Result: LOSE -£15.00

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 3 – Roundup…

Weyhay!:
He’s a Croydon Sunday league legend and now he has his name in the hallowed hall of fame of PAS weekly winners – John McSherry 29 (4) topped one of the worst collective scoring weeks in living memory (you’re all getting suckered into the zero – zeros aren’t you? hmmm? tut tut!). Well done Johnny boy, now make sure you buy your mum some flowers with your winnings…
Weymouth:
OMG! I thought last week was bad but we officially have the joint worst weekly score ever in 20 years – hang your head in shame just like Dave C – Will Oppong 4(0)
Correct Score of the Week:
2-2 madness this week… Fourteen got THE MOST OBVIOUS 0-0 at Boro, 15 got Rangers 3-1 and six got Swansea’s 5 pointer. Mark Sh & John McS got Derby’s derby victory at the City Ground, Lisa G got Stoke 2 Pompey 2, Jamies’ S & T and Frankie F struck 8 points with Barnsley 0 Charlton 0, Olly O got 5 points from Plymouth 2 Sheff U 2, Sam A got a right result for Orient at Hartlepool, Gareth M got Aberdeen 2 Dundee U 2 and John McS / Mark Sh / Olly O got Wolves 2 Cardiff 2. However, best correct score of the week goes to Mark Seels for his Motherwell 1 Celtic 1.
Bet of the Week:
It was split between Jamie T and Jon A and both came up with a loser – ho hum. We’re now £10 down and looking to John McSherry to dig deep into his pocket of predictions and pull out a plum.

Table News:

Top:
Jason Morris swaps places at the summit with Sean P to lead a very tight table by 2 points
Bottom:
Will Oppong remains bottom a w(h)opping (geddit?!) 16 points adrift already from Matt G
Up up up!:
Highest climber this week is John McSherry up 19 places to 15th. Honourable mentions for Olly O (+11), Mark J B (+12), Gareth M (+15) and Mark Se (+15)
Down down:
Falling furthest this week are Jazz Sian / Tony Bowley both down 13 places to 30th 7 36th respectively – dishonourable mentions for Clare T (-12), Matt D (-12) and Matt W (-11)
Spot Prizers:
OK, if you finish on these positions at the end of Week 13, you WILL win these prizes! Paul H is on the promos at 11th(+4), Neil T is at 13th (-7), and Nick H is on 33rd (+8)
Other Stuff:
Shaw Taylor always asked us to “keep ’em peeled” and we’ve never forgotten that here at PAS Towers. Nil-nil abusers! You’re being monitored! Beware – if it continues, expect a tap on the shoulder and a polite “f*ck off” very soon…
And Another Thing:
I’m in the proverbial hole on the spreads thanks to Arsenal and Boro being completely poo this season – can anyone help out with a Plan B??! Pleeeeese! I might have to sell my baby…

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 3 – BotW : The Sequel

It’s all about the aways it seems… From Jamie T…

(but cos I’m getting over a hangover it’s late, so scratch Chelsea from this list – soz!)

ALL TO WIN AWAY Chelsea, Spurs, Birmingham, Burnley and Celtic accumulator

Cheers,
Pab

PS – Chelsea have just scored – doh!

Result: LOSE -£10.00

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 3 – BotW Pt1

Jon A supplies part one of two weekly winners bet (Jamie T will follow tomorrow morning…)

4 banker aways, Tottenham, Sheff U, Leicester & The Posh

Just under 20/1 on Bet365.

All the best.

Hmmm, not sure myself but he does support Plymouth so maybe he knows…

Cheers,
Pab

Result: LOSE -£7.50

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 2 – Roundup…

Tony Adams Ooh Ooh!:
The shocking weather contributed to some shocking scores due to the postponements but somehow Jamie Tofeili & Jon Allin 30 (3) managed to buck the trend and get half decent scores! A shared weekly prize then for two players who couldn’t be much further away from each other (Toon & The Ho) – I’m definitely not handing over the cash in person.
Big Phil:
OMG! I thought last week was bad but I think we officially have the worst weekly score ever in 20 years – hang your head in shame just like Eboue – Dave Crisp 4(0)
Correct Score of the Week:
How many 0-0s??! It’s getting to be a joke!
Ten got THE MOST OBVIOUS 0-0 at Wigan, Louise B/Julian F/Gareth M got the “desmond” at the City Ground, young Frankie F struck again with Coventry 2 Wolves 1, Gareth M struck again with Swansea 3 Ipswich 0 – Sam A got 8 points from Reading 0 PNE 0, Jon A got eight at Tranmere and Jamie T got his eight at Spurs (yuck!). However, best correct score of the week and new correct score of the season is now in the hands of Jon Allin for his WBA 2 Newcastle Utd 3.
Bet of the Week:
As expected we kick off the season £5 down as Sean P’s little acca fell away – we look to a double pronged attack from Jon A and Jamie T to get us in the black at this early stage.
Other Stuff:
It’s PAS Cup week next week so only those who progressed from round one need to fill in and send back a scoresheet – full draw and scoresheet to follow.
And Another Thing:
let’s get all the money in eh?!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 1 – Roundup…

In Like Flynn:
He’s part of that sinister syndicate that devolved last season to come and take our money in a five pronged attack (they did!). Sean Peers 46 (8) gets the 20 year anniversary season off to a flyer and takes the first £20 out of our collective pocket – who will stop this relentless march? Jazz? Come back mate, all is forgiven…
Doing The Dino:
He’s a baby! He’s a baby! Actually he isn’t, he just works with them… Will Oppong 5(0) managed to act like his clientele and record one of the lowest scores ever to get the 20 year season off to non-flyer!
Correct Score of the Week:
How many 0-0s??! A splendid week for good guesses – Eleven got THE MOST OBVIOUS 0-0 at Boro, five got the 3-1 at Molineux, 4 got the 2-2 at Hull (impressive bridge that Humber!), Jason M/Olly O/Matt W got poor Stoke’s 1-0 win over rich Citeh, Julian F & Jon A got Wigan’s charmed 0-0 at Villa, Sean P & Jason M (see! They’re working together I tell you!!) got QPR 0 Reading 0, Jon T got the 8 points at PNE, Clare T got 8 points from Ipswich and Jamie S got 8 points from the drivel served up at Ashburton Grove. Oh, and Olly O got Fulham 3 Pompey 1. However, best correct score of the week goes to my clever little girl! Francesca Fernandez with Inverness 0 Celtic 0 (Will, she’s 6 months old and managed to get more points in one game that all your 30!)
Bet of the Week:
Well we didn’t lose… Probably cos there was no bet – yeah, that’ll be it… First up will be Sean P – furnish us with some winnings please Sean!
Table News:
See Week 1 table
Other Stuff:
If you haven’t paid up yet – please do! It’s getting boring…
And Another Thing:
The annual PAS Poll is now live on the webpage – have a peek yourself and spread the news!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2009 : Week 1 – Update…

Dear all,

Week 1 result and table will be with you tomorrow – promise!

Please find attached Week 2 scoresheet – back to me by Saturday “Blondie” time (that’s 11.59 kids…)

I’m in Edinburgh on Friday so the last “reminder” will go out tomorrow night – I’ll be back to normal service in time for PAS Cup 2nd round – fear not, I know how you love your inbox being filled with hassling emails…

Couple of things to note:

  • please try and send your scores on a Word doc where possible – it’s a right pain in any other format!
  • there are a few outstanding payments as usual – I’ll need the actual payment or definite confirmation you are actually playing by next Monday otherwise I’ll have to drop you from the game (it’s holding up the prize money slots for one thing…)

Thanks for your patience – did you all get the PAS Poll email? I think it got through!

Cheers,
Pab
