PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’23 Week 5 round up

“The right words sticking me down, and you respect what I’m doing…”

Kick!:

It’s all about taking chances and leaving it to chance, innit – ask those who forgot to predict on some games this week…

In a bumper week, 27 players clocked up 30 plus points but none hitting the hallowed 40 point mark.

Congested was an understatement.

Eleven players were all involved in the battle for the weekly £20 prize.

Jasper M bizarrely “missed” all Saturday’s games (but got 3 x correct scores!) and just came up short!

Dan W will be cursing PNE’s 94th minute 2nd goal!

George T put in a shift but actually predicted on all games (perhaps to his detriment)!

Lee T saw Blackburn earn him 5 points in the 90th minute, had a Super Sunday, only then to be undone by Yanited!

Rob C missed Friday’s games and could have been someone…only for Ayr and his beloved Wolves to leave him wanting!

That left Ric Pardoe & Matthew Stafford 38 (6) sharing the spoils – Matthew missed the first two games but got 2 points for his “forgetfulness” as did Ric…but Mr P will also be fuming at that 94th minute PNE goal as without it, it would’ve given him the outright win.

Ouch!

Bravo chicos, hope those tenners go a lot further in Wigan & Stockport than they would in, um, West Didsbury?!

Feed Me To The Lions:

At the other end of the scale, 7 people took their chances and got nish joy – scoring under fifteen points or less.

Three punters didn’t even get a correct score.

In a “semana horribilis” for la familia del Presidente,  Julian Fernandez 10 (0) propped up the table and saved his nephew, niece & brother the mother of all humiliations…

Phew!

Correct Score of the Week:

Blimey…most popular score was Burnley’s 3-0 win over Wigan – 35 of youse got that!

Eighteen saw their typo come good on the 3-1 game at Spurs

17 just knew Boro wouldn’t keep a clean sheet for a 1-3 at Swansea

Eleven quite rightly predicted Rangers’ 3-0 “thrashing” of Raith

9 put us all to shame by predicting Hearts 0 Celtic 3

Eight obviously guessed Chelsea would beat Leicester 1-3

Seven believed in Bristol Rovers. A 1-3 kinda belief…

7 more we’re so happy for Leeds 2-2 Brighton, they will actually wear that ballet dress…

Six got on the 3-1 party bus & celebrated Shrewsbury 3 Morecambe 1

Lisa W used her Championship nous to land Norwich 0 Sunderland 1

Danny A spotted the 0-1 Sheffield wobble at home to Luton

Lee T revelled in the majesty of Arsenal’s super 0-3 showing at Fulham

However, this week’s best correct score, goes to El Presidente for my it’s-my-only-chance-at-a-mention-these-days inspired, Crystal Palace 0 Man City 1!

Bet of the Week:

Sam Osmond was on “Bet of the Week” position 33rd in Week 4 so we asked him to provide a treble selection for the £3 “trixie” bet.

And guess what?!

Boom!

“Burnley, Man City and Rangers to win”  – and they all won – big up Sam!

So, £5.02 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 33rd – that’s the way to do it!

Anders Hoglund is at 83rd this week….

Mr H, I need your 3 team treble by Friday, please!

Can you make it a double treble? Has the Swedish Allsvenskan started yet?

Table News:

Stand & Deliver:

Dan Wayman stays top, scarily now 13 points ahead of Simon Linds who, in turn, is one correct score ahead of Paul F in third…

Five crashed the Top Ten!

Cartrouble:

Patricia Fernandez is still bottom (turning 84 this week DID bring you the wisdom of reading league tables & current form, Mum!), but now only three points behind Howard T who, in turn, is 4 points off Deepak B

Kings Of The Wild Frontier:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 29 places is Matthew Stafford – honourable mentions go to Rob C (+26), Paul H (+23), Justin C (+22), and Ric P (+21).

Dog Eat Dog:

Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 33 places is Andy Kelly – dishonourable mentions go to Greg F (-24), Julian F (-29), Matthew M (-28), David G (-23), Tom M (-32), and Frankie F (-29)

Why?

Well, I send round reminders that you don’t have to check your email for.

Erm…some people are quite funny (some are annoying) & hopefully, we’ll get some good pics of away fans at games.

We will crush any “hilarious GIFs” though…

Plus, you can gloat when you land that 9 pointer in the 91st minute!

Email me over your number and i’ll add ya ([email protected])

Cheers,
