PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’15 Week 2 round up

All The Rage Back Home”: From the ridiculous to the sublime, what a difference a week makes in PAS! Eighteen points in Week 1 was turned on its head for James Lee 38 (7) as he nudged past Simon B & Tony M to claim his first £20 prize! Well done James, you’re a PAS winner…  #changeyournametoJamestowintwentyquid

Obstacle 1”: Francesca F really is determined to start a collection of wooden spoons judging by her measly 10 points this week but along came Martin Stafford 9 (0) to scupper her plans. The big spoilsport…. #trydiving

Correct Score of the Week: Not a lot of correct scores knocking about this week… most popular score was Liverpool’s 1-2 win over Palace – 21 of youse got that!

13 got the 1-3 at Deepdale.

10 got the untelevised 2-0 between Bradford & Sunderland.

Eight got the really really predictable 0-0 involving Sheff Wed & Brighton.

Shashi A & Graham E got Derby 1 Reading 2.

Gary B & Darren B (welcome!) got Aberdeen’s fine win over Hamilton.

Michelle F somehow managed to pull out Bournemouth 1 Huddersfield 1!

However, this week’s best correct score, and new best of the season so far, goes to Simon Buxton for his it-had-nil-nil-written-all-over-it inspired, Ross County 3 Motherwell 2.

A message from Ben H

“Dear friends,

Hope you are all well. I wanted to introduce you to my new website, Arcana.fm!

Arcana is a site I am putting together for readers who want to know much more about classical music but without the pressures that can often bring. The idea is to dispense with boundaries and labels and just enjoy the music, which means I’m as open to reviewing techno albums as I am harpsichord recitals for the site!

Features include ‘The Borrowers’, which will look at pop songs using ideas from classical music or similar, ‘Screen Grab’, which looks at classical music on the big screen, and a big listening section where readers can access guides to music available on the BBC iPlayer or similar. There are also reviews of new recordings that are tailored both to newcomers and those who know a little about classical music.

The site is only 11 days old, so is still finding its feet – which is partly where you come in. If you could follow the site on Twitter, like it on Facebook, or just read (and hopefully enjoy!) before telling your friends all about it that would be fantastic. I would also hugely appreciate any feedback you have to give. The addresses you need are:

That’s it for this week – oh, follow us on @PabsPAS if only to see those late scores rolling in every week. you know, the ones that make you squeal or shriek in equal measure!

And remember to add #pabpas to see your tweet on the site – actually some away game pics would be good this season. Or some pics of away fans. Or home fans. Or just the match. Or players you’ve met. Anything footy related to be honest…

Cheers,

Pab
